Foxes Lane

The house at Foxes Lane in North Dublin occupies the large garden of a 1970’s bungalow which faces the panoramic of Dublin Bay, the wildlife reserve of the North Bull, extending from Howth Head to Bray Head. The proposed hosed is located on the site to create three outdoor spaces: a landscaped entry courtyard shared with the original house, an intensively planted garden and a terrace which faces south east with Dublin Bay as its backdrop. The design recognizes the tradition of modernists houses in this part of North Dublin and the clients desires to live in a house which reflects and furthers those traditions.  The brief included a house and garden building which mediate the three outdoor spaces.
